This 1979 Lincoln Continental Town Car is powered by a 400ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and finished in Light Champagne Metallic over light tan leather upholstery. Features include a matching vinyl roof, C-pillar opera windows, concealed headlamps, 15" aluminum wheels, power windows, air conditioning, power-adjustable front seats, and an AM/FM/8-track stereo. The car was acquired by the seller in 2017, and subsequent work reportedly included converting the air conditioning to R134a refrigerant as well as installing replacement radiator and hoses, wheels, tires, and rear air shocks. This Town Car is now offered with service manuals, spare parts, factory literature, and a clean Maryland title in the seller’s name. The body is finished in Light Champagne Metallic (5C) and features a matching vinyl roof and side moldings. Additional exterior details include B-pillar-mounted coach lights, C-pillar opera windows, chrome front and rear bumpers with bumperettes, cornering lamps, and concealed headlights. Blemishes are visible on the front end, while rust treatment was reportedly applied to the interior section of the vehicle when purchased, insuring a no rust vehicle. Replacement Turbine-style 15" aluminum wheels are wrapped in 235/75 American Classic narrow-whitewall tires showing 2018 date codes. The car is equipped with independent front suspension, and braking power is provided by front discs and rear drums. According to the seller, the rear air shocks were replaced during current ownership. The cabin features power-adjustable front Comfort Lounge seats and a rear bench trimmed in light tan leather along with a color-coordinated headliner, pillar trim, and door panels. Woodgrain trim accents the steering wheel, dashboard, and door panels, and additional appointments include air conditioning, power windows, carpeted floor mats, and an AM/FM/8-track stereo, that works great. Service under current ownership is said to have included converting the air conditioning refrigerant to R134a. The door locks work intermittently. A two-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontally-sweeping 85-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 48k miles, 3k of which have been added by the seller, who reports the trip odometer does not currently work. The 400ci OHV V8 was factory rated at 159 horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque. The seller notes that the radiator and hoses were replacement under his ownership. Only 47k miles original miles. All stock to include paint and interior. Runs and drives like new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Additional photos of the underside are viewable in the gallery. ALL ORIGINAL, PAINT AND INTERIOR. A beautiful example of the 70's Lincoln TOWN CAR.
